T.J. Martell Foundation Celebrates 30th Anniversary Gala - Arrivals

Philanthropist Ronald Perelman is donating $6 million for the construction of a Center for Jewish Life at Drexel University in Pennsylvania. The result is planned to be a 3-story building of 14, 000 square feet with special event spaces that can hold at least 100 people, areas for worship, lounges, meeting rooms, a Drexel Hillel and a kosher kitchen. The center is expected to open its doors in 2016.

Drexel President, John Fry, said, “Our goal at Drexel is to make the University a greater school of choice for Jewish students from our region and across the nation. Having a Jewish Center will go far in enhancing the cultural, social and religious experience for these students.”
