Julie Hyman

Julie Hyman, a lawyer in Riverdale in her early forties, confesses she “lives for her dogs” but thought it was time to settle down and find the right Jewish guy: Ivy League educated with an entrepreneurial spirit. Hyman has great credentials in addition to her law practice; she was a former Supergirl Underoos model is statuesque and blond. In her quest for a mate, she approached Oprah-recommended Amy Laurent who confessed she didn’t work with women Hyman’s age, and referred her to Matt Titus, whom she now declares is a “fraud” and is suing for damages and breach of contract. She went for Laurent’s referral because, “I trust Oprah.”

Julie Hyman was told by Matt Titus that for $8, 000, he would match her up on 8 dates with men who fit her credentials and would provide support and feedback. Hyman claimed that Titus set her up on only 2 lame dates, and that  he sends conscientious women to “friends, paid employees, reality TV show pilot participants and/or his business partners.”

“What he is doing to women is disgusting, ” Hyman told the Daily News. But Matt Titus insists, “I tried to help her, and this is what I get.” Hyman said that the first date didn’t give feedback on why he didn’t want to go out again. The second man she had three dates with filmed one of the dates, which she suspects might have been a “sizzle reel” for a new show for Titus.

Titus responds that he intended to get back with Hyman about why bachelor #2 didn’t work out. The man in question found her smart and interesting, but was put off by her dog obsession. “It becomes annoying, ” Titus reported the date said to him. “She lives for her dogs.” But Hyman says she “didn’t send him excessive pictures of dogs. If he wasn’t pet friendly, why did he go out with me? I hired Matt to match me up with someone who is compatible.”
