Sara Netanyahu: Gaza Pullout at Root of Gaza Conflict

Israel's Likud Party Hold Leadership Primaries Ahead of January Election

Wife of Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, reportedly blamed the 2005 pullout from Gaza for the recent conflict with Hamas in the region. Daniel Tragerman, the four year old boy who was killed by a mortar shell from Gaza, drew a picture shortly before his death thanking the IDF for saving him from the “monsters” terrorizing his family. The boy was out playing with his siblings, 3 year old Yuval and one year old Uri, when mortar fire claimed his life.

Sara Netanyahu told the family, “Daniel, the youngest casualty of the campaign, was a beautiful, smart and charming child. You paid the highest price. All the children in this area are true heroes, having lived for four years already under constant threat of rocket fire. What sets Daniel apart is he was always worried first about the safety of his sister and his brother.”
