Comedian Richard Lewis will release his “Bundle of Nerves” a 2 disc box set which will features films from his stellar career spanning over  four decades. Included are tracks from his 1979 “Diary of a Young Comic” and his lead in the 1995 film “Drunks” with Faye Dunaway, Dianne Weist, Sam Rockwell and others. Also featured is his HBO classic “Magical Misery Tour” taped at the Bottom Line in 1996.

Included is a perhaps unexpected tour of his own house with surprising Lewisan artifacts. The cover art for the set was done by his close friend and Rolling Stone, Ron Wood. In addition to the release of his DVD set is a screening at the 2014 Venice film festival “She’s Funny That Way, ” in which Lewis, in a departure from his accustomed roles, plays a macho father. The film has appearances from Jennifer Anniston, Cybill Sheperd, Imogen Poots and Owen Wilson.

And just when you might conclude this man must be exhausted, he has a book that will appear on the shelves in 2015, the inspirational “Reflections from Hell, ” which was written in collaboration with Carl Nicholas Titolo. Of course, as the title suggests and those who know Lewis’ comedy can suspect, the book will be characterized by dark humor with luminous reflections on life.
