A gang of anti-Semitic thugs beat up a Jewish couple on the Upper East Side Monday evening, then fled in cars decorated with Palestinian flags, police sources told the NY Post.
The couple was walking on East 63rd Street near Third Avenue after 8 PM, when two cars and several motorcycles pulled up and the attackers started yelling “anti-Jewish statements, ” to law enforcement sources reported.

One of the attackers threw a water bottle that hit the woman, and her husband, 27, was punched on the side of his head when he tried to protect her.
The attackers then rushed back to their vehicles, which flew Palestinian flags, and drove away.
The victims, who live in the area, were not seriously hurt. They declined medical attention.
The NYPD hate crimes task force is investigating the incident, and police sources told the Post that the victims were probably picked on because the husband was wearing a yarmulke (skullcap).
