Mondelez CEO Irene Rosenfeld Says Blank Check To India Is Bearing Fruit

Irene Rosenfeld 640x360

Mondelez CEO Irene Rosenfeld, on her visit to India, says the “blank check” given to her units in the country is “bearing fruit.” India is one of the fastest growing Asian countries, and Mondelez, which acquired the iconic English Cadbury brand when Mondelez was still a part of Kraft, is seeing a large number of consumers in India. While the check wasn’t exactly blank, it was certainly generous to the tune of $400 million to develop manufacturing facilities and other efforts for Mondelez.

Rosenfeld is on a visit to Mondelez’s centers of operations in Asia and cut the ribbon on a spanking new facility in Indiabulls Finance Center in Parel.
