CNN and Turner Broadcasting employees are concerned over recent remarks by CNN Chief Jeff Zucker who said the company will have to do “more with less.” Combined, CNN and Turner Broadcasting have 13, 000 full-time employees, many based in Atlanta, and there have been rumblings about job cuts for some time. A recent announcement from Jeff Zucker probably has many of these employees a bit more worried than they were before.
A memo from John Martin, head of Turner, discussed more “streamlined” operations, and this was followed up with Zucker’s statement that there will be “changes in what we do and stop doing … We need to continue what we have been doing brilliantly for the last few months. We need to have the ability to do what we have been doing.”

“On the other hand, we are faced with reality. We are going to have to do what we do with less.” While he insisted no “decisions have been made, ” he asked employees to keep posted for further details.
Someone had better not get a pay increase this year, and that person is most likely Jeff Zucker.
