Hart of Dixie’s Rachel Bilson Emerges for Floral Dress Pregnancy Shot

While women today, particularly Hollywood stars, have come a long way from the reclusive existence of expectant mothers in former eras, even the most sociable of socialites can feel a bit reserved at the uncertainty on how her pregnant belly will be portrayed in the media, including, most prominently, in this Daily Mail photo essay.

Many celebrities worry about the effect of their own fame on their children, but this concern needs to be addressed while the child is in utero.

Rachel Bilson, star of Hart of Dixie, was said to have been keeping a low profile during her pregnancy and only revealed in May her condition, escaping the pregnancy-bump chasing paparazzi with a trip to Barbados for an entire month with her boyfriend Hayden Christensen. Hart of Dixie co-star Jaime King said Bilson had been brooding a bit after the ordeal of traveling and hiding out, but revealed that Bilson was expecting a baby girl.

King seems to be stressing out about the gift, “I haven’t bought her anything yet, because I feel it has to be super-special. She’s such a fashionista. So it has to be perfect for her little girl.”

Many were in suspense about what form that crucial pregnancy outfit would take, especially since she is in her 7th month, but the mystery was cleared up recently when Rachel Bilson was seen out with a white floral flowing dress reaching above the knee as she carried a bottle of water wore silver flip flops and carried an Alexander Wang handbag.

Now the next question on the minds of the media: Which designer hospital gown will she wear?

Let’s just do the Who’s a Jew thing (because we must): Rachel Bilson was born in Los Angeles,  the daughter of Janice Stango, a sex therapist,  and Danny Bilson, a writer, director, and producer. Her mother is Italian-American who was raised Catholic, but her father is Jewish.

So don’t eat her kishka Shabbes afternoon, you think we care?
