George Soros May Invest In Rangers

Rumor has it that billionaire George Soros might invest in the Rangers Scottish championship club. Charles Green, former rangers CEO has raised funds amounting to $16.8 million (10 million pounds). The Rangers has been facing financial difficulties, and Green wanted to help preserve “one of the world’s biggest brands” with the help of investors. Soros currently has a minority stake in Manchester United and is involved in major league baseball.

George Soros has also increased his fund’s exposure to gold recently with a $21 million investment in Yamana Gold. Yamana is set to continue growing production in the double digits. Its production costs were slightly higher this quarter, but down year over year. Yamana also has a 50% stake in a Canadian mine that is expected to have a production life of 14 years.
