Online PR News – 21-July-2014 – Seymac Distribution, Cornwalls largest distributor of tourism promotional material, has invested 120, 000 in the development of a new mobile phone app, AppforCornwall. The company describes it as by far the biggest app of its kind, with comprehensive details of what to do, where to go and general information.

Because of the success of the App Seymac formed a dedicated subsidiary company, AppFor Ltd and is now rolling out the app as a franchise across Britain, county by county and city by city. AppFor Ltd soon sold their first franchise and launched AppForDevon in July 2014.

In its size, breadth of coverage and speed of use, there is nothing that comes close to it, said Seymac managing director Tina Seymour. We are very confident that the new Apps will quickly be established as an international market leader.

The new Apps categories include attractions, activities, places to eat, pubs, clubs, shopping, accommodation, vouchers/offers, Whats On, favourites, beaches, garages, medical and emergency, police stations, taxi services, tide times and tourist information centres.

There are also a host of special articles and facts, blogs, recipes, videos and sections on towns and villages with satellite navigation is built in.

Since January AppforCornwall has been downloaded over 25, 000 times and is now the subject of a massive marketing campaign.
