NEW YORK, May 19, 2014 In preparation for the next Affordable Care Act (ACA) open enrollment period scheduled to officially begin Nov. 14 2014, CE Live President Jeff Belinson has announced the return of the companys convenient online webinar courses for insurance brokers and agents, beginning Wednesday May 21.

By February New York State had been averaging around 4, 200 enrollees per day since launching in October; by the March 31 deadline that figure was more than 1.3 million New York State residents on board with the ACA plan.

Now that we know what to expect for the 2014-2015 enrollment period, we want to encourage brokers and agents to get their certifications under their belts in order to operate in one or both markets this year.

Agents and brokers must complete the NYHBE SHOP Certification coursework first and then complete the Individual Market Certification coursework in order to meet the certification requirements for selling on the NYHBE, according to Beilinson.
