easyJet launches Tel Aviv-Milan flights
Low-cost UK carrier easyJet plc (LSE: EZJ) is inaugurating its Tel Aviv-Milan route. easyJet will operate four weekly flights between Ben Gurion International Airport and Milan’s Malpensa airport on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Fares for Tel Aviv-Milan start from €64 and €51.5 for Milan-Tel Aviv.
Last month, easyJet marked over 1 million passengers flying to and from Israel since it first started operations in November 2009 with the Tel Aviv-Luton route. In February, easyJet also launched a Hebrew homepage allowing Hebrew speaking customers to benefit from content translated into Hebrew along with information about flying with easyJet and information on destinations.

However, easyJet’s expansion of its Israel operations were dealt a setback in January when Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris rejected the carrier’s Tel Aviv-Paris flight application due to lack of available slots. easyJet UK Commercial Manager Hugh Aitken said, “With our impressive growth in Israel we put lots of efforts in making our service the most easy and affordable to our leisure and business passengers.”
