Chinese Hurun Rich List : Eyal Ofer Is Richest Israeli

Eyal Ofer is the richest Israeli, with a fortune of $6.7 billion, followed by his brother, Idan Ofer, with a fortune of $5.4 billion, according to “Hurun”, the Chinese equivalent of “Forbes”. Eyal Ofer is ranked 206th in its list of the world’s 1, 867 billionaires, up from 251st place in 2013, and Idan Ofer is ranked 276th down 56 places. Shari Arison is the richest Israeli woman, in 379th place, with a fortune of $4.3 billion, down 50 places from last year.

Hurun” ranks casino magnate Sheldon Adelson as the world’s richest Jew, with a fortune of $36.5 billion, number 8 on the list.

Haim Saban ties with Idan Ofer in 276th place with a fortune of $5.4 billion. Beny Steinmetz is in 281st place with $5.3 billion, and Arnon Milchan is 408th, with a fortune of $4 billion.
Yitzhak Tshuva and David Azrieli are both ranked 510th, with fortunes of $3.3 billion. Teddy Sagi and diamond merchant Dan Gertler are both ranked 892nd, with fortunes of $2.1 billion. 
Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA; TASE:TEVA) and Opko Health Inc. (NYSE: OPK; TASE: OPK) chairman Phillip Frost is 604th, with a fortune of $2.9 billion.

Africa-Israel Investments Ltd. (TASE:AFIL) chairman and Leviev Diamonds owner Lev Leviev is in 1, 367th place, with a fortune of $1.4 billion.

According to “Hurun”, the aggregate fortunes of the world’s 1, 867 billionaires is $6.9 trillion, equal to the gross national product of Japan, the world’s third largest economy.
