Brian Grazer Parts Company With His Malibu Colony Beach House For A Comfortable $17.375 Million

Brian Grazer,  an Oscar winner in 2001 for “A Beautiful Mind” has sold his three-story beachfront property for a spectacular sum of $17.375 million, once again underlining the tremendous demand that there is for houses in that area.

Grazer’s property, which was built in 1995, boasts a total of  6, 067 square feet of living space, including five bedrooms and eight bathrooms. Ideal for the work at home film producer, the beachfront property also has its own art studio, media room as well as a fully equipped home office.

In addition the Mediterranean-style bungalow features a roomy deck, just off the living area and breakfast room with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean.

According to Malibu public records show Grazer paid  $13.5 million when he bought the oceanfront house in 2003.

Brian Grazer is one of America’s most successful and prolific film and television producers, working in tandem with Ron Howard with whom he co-founded Imagine Entertainment in 1986.

Since then Imagine Entertainment have produced a series of movies which in total have grossed over $13 billion.

Grazer has been personally nominated for an Academy Award on four separate occasions – for Splash in 1984, Apollo 13 in 1995, in 2001, for which she won an Oscar and Frost/Nixon in 2008. In addition imagine entertainment has been nominated for a total of 43 Academy Awards, and 131 Emmys for their works in films and TV entertainment.

Among the television programs handled by  Imagine Entertainment are Arrested Development,  Felicity, 24, Friday Night Lights, Parenthood and Sports Night.

Grazer is currently involved in the production of  a biopic of the life of James Brown, better known as “Godfather of Soul” to be entitled Get on Up.

With details of who and when Grazer will be moving out of his beachfront property still sketchy, he still has a number of options to fall back on, including a home that he owns in  Hawaii on the island’s beautiful Sunset Beach.
