Jason-Gorevic

Global accountants Goldman Sachs has named Jason Gorevic, CEO of Teladoc among the winners of a 100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs award for 2013.

Gorevic was presented with his reward at the recent Builders + Innovators Summit held in Marana, Arizona, between the 28th to 30th October.

Jason Gorevic, who joined Teladoc in 2009, came to the company with a wealth of experience in the healthcare industry, particularly with WellPoint, Inc., where he held various management roles including senior vice president and chief marketing and product officer as well as being responsible for developing WellPoint’s Growth Strategy

In his time at Teladoc, Jason has been responsible for pushing the company forward to considerable growth. The Teladoc service allows patients consult with a physician either through a telephone conversation or secure online video. This option has proved to be exceptionally efficient in the treatment of ailments, regarded as being “non-emergency” relieving pressure on the nation’s health clinics, as well as preventing the necessity of travel for the patient.

The physicians that provide consultancy services through Teladoc complete more than 150, 000 consults annually. All of the physicians on Teladoc’s consultancy roster have an average of 15 years experience. Teladoc membership list currently numbers six million.

Upon receiving his award, Jason Gorevic remarked how honored he was to be recognized among the remarkable entrepreneurs, appearing at the Builders + Innovators Summit.

“During a time when health care costs are at an all-time high, it is important to make available new innovative solutions that ensure patients get the quality care they need, when they need it and I am proud to work with an organization that is so committed to providing quality health care solutions at an affordable price.” Jason summed up.

Goldman Sachs, who have been involved in providing counseling for financing entrepreneurs for more than one hundred years, instigated  the Builders + Innovators Summit  just two years ago, with the intention of bringing together seasoned and emerging entrepreneurs from a diverse set of industries and allow them the time and the setting to discuss how to build vital and enduring business that will boost the global economy through the power of innovation.

This year’s summit, as well as honoring 100 entrepreneurs, also included an intensive program of general sessions and clinics led by Goldman Sachs’ expert staff as well as seasoned entrepreneurs, academics and established leaders in business and finance.

Jason Gorevic holds a B.A. Degree in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania. As well as his award from Goldman Sachs, Jason has also been named one of the country’s top executives in Crain’s New York Business “40 under 40” list for 2003.
