KitchenAid Enters in Collaboration with SodaStream

KitchenAid, a leading maker of premium kitchen appliances and culinary tools and a brand of Whirlpool Corporation (NYSE: WHR), and SodaStream International, Ltd. (NASDAQ: SODA), the world’s leading manufacturer and distributor of home beverage carbonation systems, today announced a collaboration that will introduce a jointly developed home carbonation system to the KitchenAid portfolio. The soda maker is expected to be available at retail in the fourth quarter of 2013. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“We are excited to expand our KitchenAid family of products and enter the growing category of home carbonation, ” said David Elliott, general manager of KitchenAid small appliances. “Working with SodaStream brings together their best-in-class technology with our stylish design signature to offer a premium product for our consumers worldwide.”
