Stevie is the service that turns social media feeds into a highly compelling TV experience, was announced as the winner of the MIPCube Lab Competition on stage here today at the MIPTV conference.

“Innovation is the driving force behind what we do at Stevie, and to receive this recognition from our peers in the industry is the greatest sign yet that we are breaking new ground in the connected TV space.”

 

The MIPCube Lab contest is an international competition featuring 10 startups that are helping to change the face of the TV industry. The contest helps to find companies that are providing unique solutions for the TV industry and also allows the startups to meet key players in the industry.

“We are incredibly thrilled and proud to be selected as the winner of the MIPCube Lab contest for this year, ” said Gil Rimon, Chief Creative Technologist of Stevie, who represented the startup at the event. “Innovation is the driving force behind what we do at Stevie, and to receive this recognition from our peers in the industry is the greatest sign yet that we are breaking new ground in the connected TV space.”

 

About Stevie:

Stevie was founded in October 2011, with a seed round of $600k from angel investors, including Jeff Pulver, Gigi Levy and Internet Media Group. Since then, Stevie has graduated in September from the first Microsoft Accelerator for Windows Azure program for innovative startups in Tel Aviv, Israel, and launched on stage as a finalist at TechCrunch Disrupt NYC 2012. Stevie was selected as the winner of the MIPCube Lab competition at the MIPTV conference in Cannes in April 2013. An ‘A round’ funding secured from Horizon Ventures in December 2012 has raised Stevie’s total capital to $2.1 million.
