Mike Tyson, the former heavyweight boxing champion of the world and a convicted rapist, has a new business venture selling marijuana edibles. In fact, his Tyson 2.0 is trying to make money out of the time in 1996 when he bit the ear off of boxer Evander Holyfield in a championship bout by selling edibles in the form of a torn off ear.
Yes, you did hear that right. Now at age 57, and after more than 20 years of reinventing himself as a comic personality and trying to get the world to forget he is a violent rapist, Mike Tyson is in the marijuana business. Playing himself in movies and even his own cartoon TV must not have been fulfilling enough.
Marijuana is getting legalized just about everywhere these days. And edibles are popular because they are smoke free, so no smell and no lung damage.

But edibles are not as safe and simple as some people make them out to be.
The CDC explains that edibles, or food and drink products infused with marijuana, have some different risks than smoked marijuana, including a greater risk of poisoning. Unlike smoked marijuana, edibles can take from 30 minutes to 2 hours to take effect, so some people may eat too much, which can lead to poisoning and/or serious injury.
People also might not be aware how much needs to be consumed for their body size and the difference between eating them on a full vs an empty stomach.
Edibles can also cause intoxicating effects that last longer than expected, depending on the amount ingested, the last food eaten, and medications or alcohol used at the same time.
The amount of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), or the concentration or strength, is very difficult to measure and is often unknown in edible products. Many people who use edibles can be caught off-guard by their strength and long-lasting effects.
Mike Tyson explained in a statement, “Growing up in Brooklyn, I could have never imagined a time when cannabis would be legally utilized to enhance both mental and physical well-being. Yet, here we are, witnessing the incredible progress.”
“New York, we still have improvements to make in expanding access to this plant-based wellness,” he added, “but together, I’m confident we will forge a new standard of excellence, prioritizing safety, quality and taste to ensure unparalleled experiences.”
TYSON 2.0 entered the cannabis ring in 2021, with a “commitment to providing the highest quality products in each market that it entered.” The company has expanded into a variety of other consumer product categories, spanning across the US and 16 other countries.
“In every endeavor, the brand undertakes Mike Tyson’s legendary mindset of being the greatest of all time. Whether it’s cannabis or beyond, TYSON 2.0 is committed to delivering the goods while cultivating unrivaled experiences.”
Mike Tyson’s Tyson 2.0 also offers for sale a wide variety of products other than marijuana edibles.
For example, you can get T shirts, hoodies, lighters and many more products with their label on them. There are also pins, shorts and sweatpants as well as different types of hats.
