Billionaire Nelson Peltz said that he will be voting for Donald Trump in the upcoming Presidential election because Joe Biden’s mental condition is “scary.” Meanwhile, Peltz has hit a snag in his attempts to take over the Walt Disney Company as both George Lucas and Jamie Dimon voiced opposition to his attempt to do so.

The Star Wars creator and legendary filmmaker George Lucas holds a considerable amount of Disney stock, ever since he sold the entire Star Wars franchise to the company in 2012.

According to Reuters, Lucas said in a statement, “I remain a significant shareholder because I have full faith and confidence in the power of Disney and Bob’s track record of driving long-term value. I have voted all of my shares for Disney’s 12 directors and urge other shareholders to do the same.”

At the same time, JPMorgan Chase chief executive Jamie Dimon issued a statement of his own in the continued leadership of Disney CEO Bob Iger.

“Bob is a first-class executive and outstanding leader who I’ve known for decades. He knows the media and entertainment business cold and has the successful track record to prove it,” said Dimon.

Expressing opposition to Nelson Peltz’s desire to put some of his own people on the Disney board, Jamie Dimon added, “Putting people on a board unnecessarily can harm a company. I don’t know why shareholders would take that risk.”

As for the American elections, Nelson Peltz told the Financial Times, “President Joe Biden’s mental condition is really scary.”

“I don’t know what he knows and I don’t know what he doesn’t know. I don’t know who’s speaking for him and that’s troubling,” he added.

But Peltz is no Donald Trump acolyte telling the Times about who he will vote for saying, “It will probably be Trump and I’m not happy about that.”

He voted for Donald Trump’s reelection in 2020. But Nelson Peltz told the Financial Times about that, “I said I did regret voting for him because for me the Capitol is one of the sacred grounds, and the last time anybody attacked the White House it was the Brits in 1812. And I thought that was pretty bad. I was convinced at that time that Trump might have incited it.”

Nelson Peltz is an American billionaire businessman and investor. He is a founding partner, together with Peter W. May and Edward P. Garden, of Trian Fund Management, an alternative investment management fund based in New York. He is the non-executive chairman of Wendy’s Company, Sysco, and The Madison Square Garden Company. He is a former director of H.J. Heinz Company, Mondelēz International, and Ingersoll Rand and a former CEO of Triangle Industries.

Peltz is known for being an activist investor, which means that he buys stakes in companies and then pushes for changes to improve their performance. He has a reputation for being tough and demanding, but he has also been successful in helping companies to improve their profitability.
