Alumni of the Israel Defense Forces vaunted 8200 cyber security unit have their own association to promote new high-tech startups. This is especially significant these days in the aftermath of the October 7 Hamas massacre and the ongoing war in Gaza. The organization revealed the eight Israeli startups selected for participation in its 8200 Global – NYC edition – a program that will help such firms expand into the US market.

The Israeli startups selected are TOPeration, which offers a digital platform for communications and automation of physical operations; 6Degrees, which specializes in (Tele) rehabilitation products, using 3D motion tracking technology not only to convert human motion into digital commands but also to track and report changes in motion ability, such as range, time of use, and speed etc.; Imgn, a platform that aims to transform content creation in the production industry; and Relyon, whose algorithms and safety solutions help call centers and security providers better control, respond faster, and communicate more effectively during emergencies.

There is also Happy Things, a smart happiness coach for women, Shopperai, which analyzes in-store shopping behaviors using CCTV cameras, advanced AI algorithms, and computer vision to generate insights and recommendations, GenieLabs, which enables any player to create and monetize new in-game items, and SpecterX, which empowers IT and security teams to navigate the demands of modern business, enabling them to share sensitive data anywhere and with anyone, easily.

The program is scheduled to run for three months, from April to June 2024, with weekly meetings held in the Tel Aviv area. We strongly encourage you to apply early, as applications are processed on a rolling basis.

The 8200 Global: NYC edition offers participants the aid of large established companies like BHI (Bank Hapoalim’s U.S. operation), KPMG, and Greenberg Traurig LLP. The Israeli startups get access to mentorship, resources, and networks “essential for penetrating the competitive U.S. market. These collaborations not only enhance the startups’ operational capabilities but also significantly bolster their chances of success in a landscape marked by uncertainty.”

“8200 Global is committed to bolstering Israeli startups more than ever. The 8 carefully chosen startups demonstrate resilience under extreme circumstances along with groundbreaking Israeli tech. The 8200 Global’s Partners’ unwavering support not only facilitates this unique opportunity but also reflects their profound confidence in the Israeli innovation and tech ecosystem,” said Chen Shmilo, CEO of 8200 Alumni Association and the Co-Founder of the program

The 8200 Alumni Association is based on the vision of preserving the legacy of Unit 8200, supporting the community of the unit’s alumni – men and women – in their civilian lives, and harnessing the alumni network for the benefit of Israeli society and the general public.
