It looks like Miriam Adelson, the widow of the late casino magnate Sheldon Adelson, is getting ready to open up the checkbook for Donald Trump’s 2024 election campaign. Politico reported that the two had a recent private dinner together.
Politico cited two anonymous sources who were “familiar” with the meeting. The publication said that Donald Trump is courting the big Republican donors now that it seems he will definitely win the Party’s nomination for President this year.

Donald Trump certainly had enough of it in 2020 and he still lost the election. It’s about how and where you spend the money more than how much of it you get. In the general election, fewer than 10 states will matter with all of the rest already guaranteed to go for one candidate or the other.
So, the money needs to be spent in those states and with messages tailored for the local audiences. It must also go to get out the vote on election day efforts.
Miriam’s late husband Sheldon Adelson was a big supporter of Donald Trump’s two previous election campaigns. In 2020 alone, the late casino magnate donated $75 million to help President Trump get reelected. He and Miriam Adelson gave a total of $176 million to Republican causes during the 2020 election.
In 2018 President Trump gave Sheldon Adelson America’s highest civilian honor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
Miriam Adelson recently acquired a majority interest in the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks team. She bought the team from fellow billionaire Mark Cuban.
