Mark Zuckerberg Wants to Feed Beer to Cows

Mark Zuckerberg is now a cowboy. Yes – you did hear that correctly. The Facebook founder is now raising cattle.

And not just any cattle. Apparently, Mark Zuckerberg has cows that can drink beer too. So maybe their milk will taste like beer and even be alcoholic.

The cattle are being raised at his $100 million Hawaii estate. And, of course, when people think of Hawaii they think of beef and cattle ranches.

“My goal is to create some of the highest quality beef in the world,” Mark Zuckerberg said in a post on his company’s Instagram platform in which he can be seen smiling in front of a really big piece of beef while eating out. “The cattle are wagyu and angus, and they’ll grow up eating macadamia meal and drinking beer that we grow and produce here on the ranch.”

The cows will get to eat macadamia nuts? Talk about spoiled rotten.

Zuckerberg went on to say that the whole process of raising the cattle will be done locally and be vertically integrated. Each cow eats 5,000-10,000 pounds of food each year, he explained, which means they will need quite a few macadamia trees.

“My daughters help plant the mac trees and take care of our different animals,” said Mark Zuckerberg. “We’re still early in the journey and it’s fun improving on it every season. Of all my projects, this is the most delicious.”

Maybe it’s delicious for him, but what about everyone else? Environmentalists are already slamming him for the new pet project.

PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) slammed him for it saying that it is starting a new campaign called “Every Animal Is Someone.” But they aren’t.

“The world is in urgent need of more empathy, and that begins with seeing the individual, understanding that we’re all animals, and realizing that every animal is someone, with each one of us deserving of respect,” says PETA President Ingrid Newkirk.
No!

But the problem here is an environmental one. The world is not lacking in cattle for either beef or dairy. The raising of cows requires a tremendous amount of energy, food, and they leave behind waste that harms the environment. This is why people have been moving towards lab grown meat and other meat alternatives.

And if there is a reason to be concerned for animal welfare it’s with the feeding them beer. And no one is worried about the cows here. People are bothered with the idea of wasting beer on cows.

Mark Zuckerberg – cows are not a someone and they are not people so don’t give them beer. Give it away to the rest of us.
