The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) reported that together with the ISA (Israeli Security Agency) its forces captured more than 500 terrorists in the Gaza Strip since the start of the Iron Swords War. More than 350 of these are from the terrorist organization Hamas.
In the past week, the IDF released images of numerous terrorists who surrendered. The terrorists had been stripped of their clothes to ensure that none were hiding explosives.
This led Israel’s Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant Monday evening to tell the Israeli public that the Hamas terrorist organization in Gaza is on the “verge of collapse.”

In a public address, Gallant pointed to the mass surrenders of Hamas terrorists who were left behind with no food or water as proof of this.
The Defense Minister also had a message for the remaining Hamas terrorists, telling them that if they wish to live then they must “surrender unconditionally” to Israeli forces.
Since the end of the “operational pause” in the fighting two weeks ago, which was held to allow for the release of more than 100 of the hostages held by Hamas in Gaza, the IDF said it apprehended approximately 140 Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists in the Gaza Strip. The terrorists were detained in recent days by IDF soldiers. Some voluntarily turned themselves in and were transferred by field interrogators from Unit 504 in the IDF’s Intelligence Directorate and the ISA for further questioning.
In the past month, a total of over 350 Hamas terrorist operatives were apprehended by the IDF and ISA. In addition, over 120 Islamic Jihad terrorist operatives were apprehended.
Some of the terrorists were apprehended while hiding inside civilian buildings, schools, and shelters.
The IDF said that interrogations of the terrorists yielded intelligence that “assisted in locating additional terrorist operatives, as well as the security of IDF troops.”
