Israel Tech Guard is a new volunteer venture that aims to help with the current security situation, from locating hostages to protecting against cyber attacks, and other problems the country is facing due to the Iron Swords War in Gaza. The organization currently has an army of 200 volunteers ready to help and has raised $2 million in donations for its efforts.
The organization was founded in the wake of the barbaric October 7 Hamas terror attack which saw more than 1,200 innocent people brutally murdered. It three founders are Mor Ram-On, VP R&D at Beaconcure, who has expertise in machine learning, complex software architecture and defense technologies; Ron Balter, software engineer and team leader at Cybereason; and senior programmer Lior Mizrahi, co-founder and CTO of Maveriks.
The Israel Tech Guard group is an initiative of Israeli developers, providing a home for technological civil initiatives to assist the citizens of the country and the various security agencies.

“Forged in the aftermath of the October 7th Hamas attack,” Israel Tech Guard calls itself “an ‘army’ of citizen volunteers with a mission to swiftly develop and deploy cutting-edge technology for critical, life-saving solutions.”
The organization collaborates closely with Israel’s security agencies and boasts a skilled team that includes a wide spectrum of technical professionals from across Israel’s high-tech arena.
“Our initiatives include hostage location, cybersecurity, relief applications, safeguarding online platforms, and more,” says Israel Tech Guard. “We empower first responders and security agencies with the technology required for a secure and resilient future for Israel.”
Israel Tech Guard is looking to raise $1million dollars over the next 24-48 hours. Every dollar of which will be used to get these life-saving tools into production and operational. Not a cent is going to admin or people.
“Over the last few years, there has been an explosion in the development of technologies such as computer vision and GenAI, some of which have not been fully absorbed into the army,” said Mor Ram-On. “Feedback from our clients and in the field has been phenomenal so far as, on average, each solution has taken a week to develop as we meet the fast-changing needs of this new level of warfare.”
One of Israel Tech Guard’s current campaigns is Words of Iron. The organization says this empowers individuals to promote positive content by automating the generation of source-based materials in response to hateful media.

Another initiative is Face Watch, which Israel Tech Gurad explains is a “cutting-edge solution” designed to identify faces from videos and swiftly classify them as missing individuals. By augmenting this information with critical data, they provide an invaluable resource for authorities and families in search of their loved ones.
