Susan Sarandon ‘Fired’ by Agents Over Pro-Hamas Comments

Oscar winning actress Susan Sarandon was dumped by her agents at UTA after she made comments in support of Hamas and its barbaric terrorist attack on Israel on October 7. And the actress Melissa Barrera was fired from the cast of the upcoming seventh Scream movie. She had appeared in the previous two films in the series playing the lead character Samantha “Sam” Carpenter.

Since the start of the war in Gaza, Melissa Barrera made social media posts saying things like “I too come from a colonized country” (she is Mexican) and “Palestine WILL be free.”

Melissa Barrera also wrote, “Gaza is currently being treated like a concentration camp. Cornering everyone together, with nowhere to go, no electricity no water. People have learnt nothing from our histories. And just like our histories, people are still silently watching it all happen. THIS IS GENOCIDE & ETHNIC CLEANSING.”

As for Susan Sarandon, on Friday she spoke to an ant-Israel protest in Manhattan’s Union Square. Sarandon did not seem to be bothered by all of the chants made by the crowd of “From New York to Gaza, globalize the intifada!” and “We don’t want no two-state, we want 48!”

The 77 year old actress clearly takes the war in Gaza seriously. This was evidenced by the fact that Susan Sarandon wore a jacket emblazoned with patches of characters from “The Simpsons” on it.

“There are a lot of people that are afraid, that are afraid of being Jewish at this time, and are getting a taste of what it feels like to be a Muslim in this country,” said Susan Sarandon.

“It’s important to listen, it’s important to have facts…you don’t have to go through the entire history of that region, you just have to show the babies that are dying in incubators,” she added.

“Those images are enough to show you that something is drastically wrong. We need a ceasefire now,”
