ShowMeTheirMoney.org Wants to Take Away Terrorists’ Most Important Asset – Their Money

ShowMeTheirMoney.org works like a crowdfunding campaign in reverse.

Israeli citizen kidnaped by Hamas

ShowMeTheirMoney.org is a new Israeli effort that aims to get at the financial resources of terrorist groups like Hamas. The idea here is simple: get people around the world to help in the efforts to trace the financial trails that lead to terrorist organizations, like Hezbollah, in order to put a stop to the flow of money they need to operate.

Not all of the people who provide such financial assistance to terrorism even know what they are doing. Many are duped into giving donations to non-governmental organizations with innocuous sounding names that claim to be working to help refugees, provide medical supplies and for other humanitarian goals. But governments are always finding the connections between such groups and the terrorists.

After the 9/11 the American government took the lead on following the money. In order to starve terrorist groups like Hamas and Al Qaeda of financial resources, governments around the world enacted new laws and regulations to put a stop to money laundering activities and to make it easier to confiscate any funds that were found.

But government resources are limited. So, ShowMeTheirMoney.org is taking this a step further by enlisting the aid of everyday people from around the world.

The organization declares itself a “group of civilians of various backgrounds – researchers, techies, finance personnel, lawyers, etc.” Information gathered, it says, will enable them to “explore the financial backbones, channels, and assets of the abovementioned terror groups, while focusing our efforts on obstructing it through policymaking, civil lawsuits, and much more.”

This civil initiative was established in response to the barbaric massacre enacted by Hamas terrorists on October 7th, 2023, in which 1,400 innocent people were murdered. Entire families were burned alive, including babies, and innocent people were gunned down as they tried to run for safety. More than 240 Israelis are being held hostage in Gaza by the terrorist groups Hamas and Islamic Jihad.

“Through this platform, we urge people from all around the world to share information related to the operational and financial structures of various terrorist organizations, including Hamas, Hezbollah, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, The Islamic Republic of Iran, The Shia Militias in Iraq, The Houthi insurgency in Yemen, and others,” says ShowMeTheirMoney.org on its website.

“We are particularly interested in receiving tips regarding revenue-generating resources and assets like real estate, financial entities (such as banks) knowingly or unknowingly supporting these organizations, specific bank accounts, money laundering activities, and individuals involved in their financial and civil or operational networks.”
