Bill Ackman Says Joe Biden Should Not Seek Reelection

Bill Ackman, the billionaire activist investor who runs Pershing Square Capital, is now pushing for President Joe Biden to drop out of the 2024 U.S. presidential elections. Ackman feels that Biden should not seek reelection because of the President’s perceived weaknesses, and even implied that these weaknesses may have emboldened terrorist organizations like Hamas.

To prove his point, Bill Ackman shared a video clip of Joe Biden forgetting which way to walk at a ceremony held in honor of Veterans Day last week.

Bill Ackman cited what he said is a growing sentiment in the country that the “global disarray” that we are witnessing, such as the conflict in Gaza, resulted from a “perception of weakness in the White House.”

Ackman said that, regardless of one’s personal opinion of President Biden himself, it is “time for him to step aside and allow other candidates to emerge.”

“We are in an extremely unstable, high-risk world,” said Bill Ackman. “The job of the president is a high-stress, contact sport that requires extraordinary judgment, leadership, and indefatigable energy. You need to be at your mental and physical prime to succeed. Unfortunately, Biden is falling fast and often.”

Bill Ackman went on to talk about how recent polls showing Donald Trump leading Joe Biden in the so-called “battleground” states are reason enough for Biden to step aside.

He also made the incredulous claim that a “growing number of liberal Democrats that I know who would never vote for Trump ‘over their dead body’ have recently told me that if the election were held today and the choice was Biden or Trump, they would vote for Trump.”

Bill Ackman said that he knows of a few “extraordinary” potential candidates who he thinks are likely run for president if Biden were to step aside.

“There comes a time in life when we must rely on our closest family and friends to put their arms around us, sit us down, and tell us the truth,” added Bill Ackman. “If you are one of the President’s closest family members or friends, please tell him that the time has come.”

And he called on the First Lady to do so, calling it her most important civic responsibility.

“All of us would be incredibly grateful and the world could be a much happier, safer place.”
