Palo Alto Networks, an American cyber security firm, is acquiring Israeli startup Talon Cyber Security, which develops cloud infrastructure-based cyber security technology. The purchase price was not disclosed, but Calcalist reported that it will be $625 million.
Calcalist also reported that as much as $80 of the purchase price will go to Talon employees, some of whom will get as much as $1 million.

The closing of the Talon Cyber Security acquisition comes just a week after Palo Alto bought Israeli cloud data security startup Dig Security for as much as $400 million.
So that comes to more than $1 billion spent by Palo Alto Networks on Israeli firms in just six days.
Founded in 2005, Palo Alto Networks boasts that as a cybersecurity firm, it is shaping the “cloud-centric future with technology that is transforming the way people and organizations operate.”
Co-founded by CEO Ofer Ben-Noon and CTO Ohad Bobrov in 2021, Talon provides the first enterprise browser that was designed to secure and enable hybrid work, while reducing complexity and cost. Talon boasts that its secure and isolated workspace enables today’s employees, who use the browser more than any other business application, to work from anywhere and from any device, accessing enterprise resources securely from both corporate and non-corporate devices.
Talon explains that modern cybersecurity for a distributed workforce must enhance security across an increasingly complex attack surface, be easy to manage and cost-effective, and provide a frictionless user experience.
In October 2021, Talon launched the first secure browser for enterprises, TalonWork, which enables enterprise companies to effectively manage a hybrid workforce without having to compromise security, employee experience or privacy. The company says that with its built-in enterprise-grade cyber security tech, TalonWork provides advanced data leakage protection and high granularity of control into all web in-app activities.
