And Law and Order Creator Dick Wolf joined the chorus of criticism of the University of Pennsylvania.

Sarah Silverman backed down on her recent Israel supporting comments. The comedian, a famed pot smoker, said that she was stoned when she shared a post defending Israel’s blockade of Gaza in recent weeks calling it a “mistake.” Meanwhile, the creator of television’s “Law and Order” series of shows Dick Wolf has joined the growing number of prominent people condemning the University of Pennsylvania for its failure to stop Hamas supporting groups on its campus.

This comes after Cliff Asness, a hedge fund billionaire, David Magerman, a high-tech entrepreneur, and Apollo Management CEO Marc Rowan demanded that the supporters of the Ivy League school stop donating money to it.

Dick Wolf wrote a letter calling on the Ivy League school’s President Liz Magill to resign.

“President Magill, I implore you and [chair of the board of trustees] Scott Bok to step down from your UPenn positions before any more unnecessary damage to UPenn,” Wolf wrote in the letter obtained by CNN. “There is no hope for unification in our community until you step aside.”

A graduate of UPenn himself, the school’s Wolf Humanities Center is named for him. Endowed by Wolf, the center is Penn’s main hub for interdisciplinary humanities research and public programming.

“The notion that the Wolf Humanities Center contributed to this hate fest, otherwise known as the Palestine Writes Festival, is an abomination,” Dick Wolf wrote in his letter.

As for Sarah Silverman, she has been vocal in her support of Israel since the Hamas launched its barbaric attack on Israel on October 7 in which whole families were murdered and even babies were burned alive. The comic’s sister is a rabbi who lives in Israel.

On Instagram she said, “I’m Godless, but I find myself praying. Praying for the safety of my family in Israel as attacks continue.”

Sarah Silverman went on to write how Hamas is a terrorist organization whose mission, it declares, is to “kill all the Jews” and how it has controlled Gaza for 18 years.

On her podcast, Sarah Silverman condemned those who criticized Israel in the aftermath of the attack saying, “These Israelis were murdered so brutally, and tortured and ripped from their homes: children, babies, elderly people, survivors. No sympathy, just… ‘But Palestine! Free Palestine!’ Really? For people who like to use the term tone deaf a lot, like, no. You stand by that?”

And she also slammed America’s phony left in an Instagram post in which the comic talked about how the same people who ignore suffering and oppression around the world were quick to condemn Israel after what Hamas did to so many innocent civilians.

As for the post in question that Sarah Silverman shared said, it said, “Instead of pleading with Hamas to release CIVILIAN hostages which include BABIES and TODDLERS there are politicians (cough cough AOC) calling Israel inhumane. If that isn’t enough for you: ISRAEL DOES NOT NEED TO SUPPLY GAZA WITH THESE RESOURCES (which they do, for FREE).”

“If Hamas didn’t spend billions of dollars on terrorism they would be able to build the infrastructure to support themselves,” added that post on social media.

“Oh fuck yeah I took that down,” said Silverman. “I put it in stories from someone, realized it was a mistake to post in the stoned fury of wondering where the hostages are in all this madness.

For the record, Israeli officials have explained that Gaza has enough supplies for the time being and discredited claims made by Hamas that the people living there are facing a “humanitarian crisis.”
