Sheba Medical Center Hosts Emily Austin, Signs Deal With Emirati Firm PureHealth

Israel’s Sheba Medical Center played host to social media “influencer” Emily Austin, the daughter of Israeli parents, who helped to promote its “Hope Without Boundaries” program. And the hospital has entered into a new partnership with the Emirati firm PureHealth on joint clinical research projects.

PureHealth and Sheba Medical Center said they will work closely together on joint clinical research projects, promote the use of advanced technology in healthcare, expand genetic research initiatives, collaborate on staff training, and boost health tourism in both countries. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by representatives of both organizations, solidifying their commitments. One of the key aspects of the collaboration is the enhancement of clinical research and exchange of studies, collaboration on healthcare innovation research projects, and clinical trials.

The collaboration will also focus on education and training. Both parties will jointly organize conferences, workshops, and events, and create clinical specialization projects and internships. Medical staff from each institution will also be able to broaden their experience by immersing themselves in the dynamic environment of the partner organization.

During her recent visit Emily Austin helped Sheba Medical Center to publicize its “Hope Without Boundaries “philosophy in which the hospital collaborates with leading teaching and research academic institutes, both domestically and internationally. Sheba’s academic authority promotes multidisciplinary health and medical studies — thousands teach and study at Sheba every year. An academic campus is under construction and will include research institutes, technological incubators, startup companies, and an innovation center. This academic facility will operate jointly with medical supercenters worldwide.

Sheba Medical Center has provided medical treatment to people from all over the world, including third world countries that lack the medical facilities required for handling certain medical conditions. Its doctors also travel abroad to provide treatment. For example, during the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine, patients from that country received treatment at the hospital in Israel and some of its doctors traveled to Ukraine to staff a field hospital provided for the treatment of refugees from the conflict.
