Israel’s Go Global Travel Sold to Korea’s Yanolja Co

Go Global Travel, an Israeli firm that offers services for the travel industry has been acquired by South Korea’s largest travel-booking company Yanolja Co. The purchase price was not revealed, but Go Global Travel is currently owned by Apax Mid-Market Israel (AMI) which reportedly paid $85 million for its controlling share.

Yanolja was founded in 2005 and offers many services like Online Accommodation, Leisure Booking & Advertisement, Hotel Property Management System, Hotel Franchise, Interior & Remodeling, Hotelier Recruiting & Training, and MRO (Consumables & Supplies)

Yanolja is the only ‘Unicorn’ among travel related companies in South Korea. For the platform business, as a ‘Super App’, Yanolja provides all services related to travel, including accommodation, leisure, transportation, and restaurants. Yanolja Cloud, a subsidiary of Yanolja established to strengthen its SaaS technology leadership around the globe, is one of the global top cloud-based hospitality solution providers offering its solutions to approximately 43,000 clients in 170+ markets in more than 60 different languages. As a B2B2C company, Yanolja and Yanolja Cloud connect the entire value chain of the global travel and hospitality industry, integrating it into a single platform built on advanced technology.

Yanolja said its acquisition of Go Global Travel will provide its Yanolja Cloud “unparalleled distribution capabilities, making it a one-of-a-kind company allowing properties of all types, sizes, and budget ranges – and in every corner of the world – to digitize property operations.” The acquisition is anticipated to result in the development of “new, innovative technologies leveraging a broad range of data from across Yanolja Cloud member companies to allow for greater personalization and AI-based automation.”
