Amy Schumer is back and better than ever. Her hit comedy variety show “Inside Amy Schumer” is back for a fifth season after an absence of more than four years and this time it is available for live streaming on Paramount+.

So why the delay? Amy Schumer had signed to do a fifth season of the show, but then Donald Trump got elected president. “With Trump being a president, I was too depressed and just didn’t feel like I had anything helpful to say,” she said.

You might want to review Inside Amy Schumer’s first four seasons before starting the new one and if you haven’t seen them yet, you should. But be warned – Amy Schumer’s brand of comedy is not for the faint of heart. There is nothing sacred to her and Amy Schumer is certainly not in the least bit shy about making explicit references to dating and sex.

This time around you can expect a fake movie commercial a horror movie about trans girls in bathrooms, and a sketch called “Fart Park.” And Amy Schumer also goes after Hollywood phonies like Gwyneth Paltrow.

Amy Schumer herself said that she brought the show back in order to “burn any remaining bridges.” She also boasted that, “it’s better than ever — well, not as good as season three, but close.”

Olivia Munn, Bridget Everett, and Cazzie David (daughter of Larry David) make appearances.

On being a working mother, Amy Schumer told People Magazine, “I just want to be with him [her child] as much as I can. I’m very grateful to be able to work and have time for myself also. But it’s brutal. It hurts. I mean, like, there’s no way. It’s a painful thing. But gosh, you know, all the clichés are just true what they say about babies — I’m crazy about him.”

Amy Schumer said that it is hard for her to leave her son when working saying, “I just, I just miss him. You just wanna physically be there. I really do think it’s harder for me than him.”
