Former Beatle Ringo Star has already given people something good to talk about at the start of 2021, in contrast to the dread of 2020. The 80 year old rock legend and former Beatle just released a new song written by Diane Warren called “Here’s to the Nights.”
Paul McCartney, Corinne Bailey Rae, Sheryl Crow, Dave Grohl and Lenny Kravitz all joined Ringo Starr in singing on the track.
Dianne Warren, who is Jewish, is an award winning song writer. She wrote hits like the ballad “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” from the movie “Armageddon” sung by Aerosmith. She also wrote the 1986 pop hit “Rhythm of the Night” sung by DeBarge.

The former Beatle released a statement explaining, “When Diane presented this song to me I loved the sentiment of it. This is the kind of song we all want to sing along to, and it was so great how many wonderful musicians joined in,” he said, “I wanted it out in time for New Year’s because it feels like a good song to end a tough year on. So here’s to the nights we won’t remember and the friends we won’t forget — and I am wishing everyone peace and love for 2021.”
