After several months of studies, the results of geophysical research conducted by the Scientific Mission of the Polytechnic University in Turin, Italy, showed that there are no hidden rooms behind the walls of the tomb of King Tutankhamun.

Dr. Mustafa Waziri, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, said Sunday that the Italian team conducted extensive studies with ground-penetrating radar inside the cemetery proved that there were no rooms or even signs of any entrances or doors Rooms that contradict the theory that assumed the existence of corridors or adjacent rooms or inside the burial chamber of King Tutankhamun.

The results of GPR studies carried out by a Japanese and American scientific expeditions in 2015 and 2016 are different from that of the British archaeologist Nicholas Reeves.

In 2015 Reeves proposed that the burial chamber of Queen Nefertiti was located behind the burial chamber of King Tutankham Amoun, a theory that had sparked controversy among archaeologists in Egypt and the world.

The archaeologists were divided between supporters and opponents, prompting the ministry to discuss the whole thing during the Second World Conference of King Tutankhamun in May 2016, which was attended by a distinguished elite of archaeologists in Egypt and the world.

In the end, authorities took the third survey radar with a different advanced scientific technology to resolve the scientific debate on the subject and to ensure the validity of the theory of whether or not before taking any practical measures in this regard.
