Will Glencore survive in its current form? And for how much longer can its combative boss, Ivan Glasenberg, cling to the reins of power?

Unless it be VW, Glencore is the corporate story of the moment, having suffered a jaw dropping 30pc plunge in the share price at the start of last week when Investec damningly suggested that such was the company’s degree of leverage that it could be worth nothing at all if commodity prices continue to fall.
