Jason Segel — whose 2014 comedy “Sex Tape” managed a measely 3 percent “fresh” rating on Rotten Tomatoes — is getting Oscar buzz for his next film, “The End of the Tour, ”, says Page Six
Based on Rolling Stone journalist David Lipsky’s bestseller, the film follows Wallace and Lipsky (Jesse Eisenberg) on an intense five-day book tour for the classic Infinite Jest. He gives “the performance of his career, ” a review said.
Segel spoke at the 92nd Street Y about how he tackled the role of a lifetime with Rolling Stone’s David Fear and said: “I was watching a movie on a plane, and I started crying really hard . . . The woman next to me peeked at what I was watching, and it was ‘Dreamgirls.’ ”
