BlackBerry Venice Android Smartphone Leaked in Photo



Last week BlackBerry chief operating officer John Chen said that the corporation would create an android phone providing it could be secure enough. Leaks still pour in concerning the company’s ‘Venice’ phone, that is alleged to be powered by android.

The latest set of leaks speak a lot concerning the smartphone’s launch partner, whereas a separate leak shows what appearance to be a BlackBerry Passport running android.

An android-powered Venice smartphone is alleged to ensue to launch on AT&T, the us telecom operator. The news comes from @evleaks, a reliable tipster, via a post on Twitter.

“The Android-powered BlackBerry venice slider is AT&T-bound, ” he tweeted on Thursday.

There are no details about if the smartphone can keep an AT&T exclusive or can reach different regions in an unlocked version still.

The tout additionally announce a picture (seen above) showing the lower front-half of what appears like a BlackBerry Passport, running Google’s OS. The image appears slightly odd because it shows the typical android on-screen navigation buttons – Back, Home and Multi-Window within the show higher than the Passport-like Qwerty keypad, and an on-screen keyboard still.

The image goes in line with leaked photo of a BlackBerry Passport with on-screen navigation buttons and running android 5.1.0 Lollipop OS version.

From the past rumors and leaks, the BlackBerry Venice slider smartphone is alleged to sport a dual-edge curved display.

Also tipped is that the inclusion of 5.4-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels) display. And it is powered by a 1.8GHz hexa-core 64-bit snapdragon 808 SoC with 3GB of RAM. It comes with an 18MP rear camera, and a 5MP secondary camera.
