Carolla said that after 4 years on the air together he determined that Rosen was not a good sidekick.

She told The Wrap, “I’m really excited to see everyone because it’s been since before the break that I saw them. I’m not quite sure what I’m going to say yet, but obviously I plan to address it because it’s a big thing that happened in my life and I talk about my life — and how I feel about what’s going on in my life — on my show.”

“Obviously it’s complicated by the fact that the guys still work on the show and I would never want to put them in an uncomfortable position and yet I can’t not address it, ” she continued. “So that’s the part I’m still trying to figure out: How to best handle for the sake of everyone involved, including the listeners.”

Carolla said on his Wednesday podcast that he fired Rosen the way that he did because, “She had declared many times that, ‘If I go the way of the dodo, send me an email, ’. People are like, ‘Why didn’t you have the decency of having her on to say goodbye?’ And I’d had this conversation in no certain terms with Alison many times where we agreed — on the air, possibly off the air — that if something like this was going to go down we’d rather find out in an email.”

Rosen, however, denied to The Wrap that she had ever said that.
