Moves previously described itself as an exclusive luxury lifestyle publication dedicated to covering and uncovering the exciting, affluent, and ever-changing lives of professional athletes, their families, and those who are making it all happen behind-the-scenes of the highly visible sports industry.

Now the publication explains that in order to leverage the growing lifestyle and marketing convergence between sports and entertainment, Moves is evolving under new ownership into a, “diversified media company serving athletes, entertainers, managers, moguls, influential tastemakers and the advertisers seeking to reach them.” Editorial and executive offices for Moves are located in Miami, with sales and marketing teams based in Miami, New York City and Los Angeles.

The Moves website, featuring on-the-scene video and specially-produced programming, will offer daily access to news, interviews, premieres, highlights, photo galleries and invitation-only events that offer the benefits of being inside the locker room and behind the velvet rope.

Moves is positioned to be a leader in the new lifestyle marketplace created by the convergence of sports, television, film and music, ” publisher and CEO Jay Levy said. “The brand is well known among professional athletes, and we will quickly grow that same awareness within the media, entertainment and luxury lifestyle industries by creating a new level of access and user experience.”

Levy acquired Moves in 2013 with the goal of rebranding the franchise as a multi-channel lifestyle outlet. He is best known for creating the swimwear line Southern Exposure which was an early pioneer in e-commerce.

The official kick-off will coincide with the return of the annual Moves Super Bowl Party in Phoenix, Arizona. During Super Bowl week, Moves will also be partnering with Stealth SME to co-sponsor the Players Gala Golf Classic at the McCormick Ranch Golf Club in Scottsdale on January 28, 2015, as well as a VIP Super Bowl viewing party and post-Super Bowl Players Gala at Drai’s on the Las Vegas Strip, hosted by NFL Hall of Fame great Warren Moon.
