With No Winner, the Jackpot Swells to $650 Million; Should You Play Powerball? Science Solves the Mystery

There was no grand prize winner in the draw on Saturday night, latest drawing, meaning one of the nation’s largest lottery jackpots will continue growing from $535 million to about $650 million,

The new jackpot for Wednesday’s drawing would be the third-largest jackpot in U.S. history and the second-highest level in the history of the Powerball.

 

 

 

The prize has grown because no one has wine all six balls more than two months. On June 10, a man from California won $447.8 million.

According to the association, the odds of winning the giant prize are one in 292.2 million. The odds of winning any prize, including one as small as $4, are about one in 25.

Powerball is played in 44 states including Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
