FIMI to raise $1billion for sixth fund

Once the financing round is completed, FIMI Opportunity Funds will have $3.1 billion in equity for upgrading companies.

Israel’s largest private equity firm, FIMI Opportunity Funds today announced the plans to raise $1 billion for a new investment fund 6. When the financing round is completed, FIMI will have $3.1 billion in equity.  FIMI said it would bring in investment from home and abroad to buy control of Israeli companies.
FIMI founder and CEO Ishay Davidi said, “I’m glad to announce today the beginning of raising money for the new fund. Three years ago, we completed the fifth fund. We carried out the strategy and achieved the targets we set for ourselves, in which we acquired control of companies and took determined measures to enhance their value. FIMI believes in the Israeli economy, its growth potential, and its high-quality personnel.”FIMI senior partner and deputy CEO Gillon Beck added, “FIMI has a broad international perspective that provides added value to the companies it controls. The new fund will continue the strategy of investing in companies with significant growth engines, turning their business around, and making them leaders in their field.”
