Jesse Eisenberg Clarifies His Comparison of Conic-Con to ‘Genocide’

BRITAIN-FILM-THE DOUBLE

“It is like being screamed at by thousands of people. I don’t know what the experience is throughout history, probably some kind of genocide. I can’t think of anything that’s equivalent, ” said The Social Network star Jesse Eisenberg on Monday in attendance at San Diego Comic-Con for his role as Lex Luthor,  in the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice film.

He commented during an interview, saying that the San Diego event was “terrifying” to him.

To clarify his remarks, Eisenberg told Associated Press the next day that the comment matches fans’ assumptions of villain Lex Luthor. “They expect me to use hyperbole!” he said.

Eisenberg explained to AP: “I of course was using hyperbole to describe the sensory overload I experienced. I sometimes do employ that, ”  “I’m a normal person who has normal sensory experiences, so Comic-Con was very overwhelming for me. That said, it was really an honor to be on that end of such jubilation.”

You can watch him in the first official Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice trailer below.
