Trump and his daughter Ivanka (who goes by the name Yael since her Orthodox conversion in 2009) had sued the new owners, Trump Entertainment Resorts, who wanted to erase the name Trump from it.

Trump Entertainment Resorts was formed after the Trump casinos’ second of three bankruptcies, and Donald Trump owns only 10 percent of it, according to AP.

Icahn, who put up $20 million to keep the casino going into bankruptcy, weighed in on letting the name stay.

Donald Trump released a statement saying: “I am happy to have reached a deal with Carl, someone who I have great respect for both personally and professionally. The Trump Taj Mahal, under the right leadership and with the proposed significant reinvestment in the property, can be, once again, a wonderful place for travel and entertainment.”

Ivanka Trump told AP the deal with Icahn would let the Trumps monitor the hotel to make sure it’s brought up to their standards again, after it had fallen into disrepair under the new management.
