Britain’s Wireless Logic Buys Israel’s Webbing for $200 Million

The British telecommunications firm Wireless Logic Is buying Israel’s Webbing, a mobile virtual network operator, for $200 million. This acquisition comes just a few months after Wireless Logic also bought out Singapore-headquartered Blue Wireless, a global service provider for managed wireless solutions.

The company also recently acquired IoThink Solutions, Mobius Networks and Jola and says the purchase of Webbing continues its strategy of global expansion, service offering enhancement and new routes to market.

Founded in 2000 by Phil Cole and Oliver Tucker, Wireless Logic works across all market segments, delivering complete M2M/IoT managed services for mobile and satellite wireless networks plus fixed line solutions.

Webbing counts Chemi Peres (son of the Late Israeli statesman Shimon Peres), Managing Partner and co-founder of Pitango, as one of its investors. Peres is also the head of the company’s board of directors.
