Israeli herbal medicine startup myAir uses alternative medicine techniques to offer its customers a new kind of health bar to reduce stress. And the company has just released what it says is the world’s first Generative AI nutritionist focused on the “food for mood” concept.”

Israel Startup Nation is known for its many medtech startups and medical breakthroughs. For example, in the past few weeks alone, InspireMD, an Israeli medtech firm and the developer of the CGuard Embolic Prevention Stent System (EPS) for the prevention of stroke, raised $113.6 million, RedDress, an Israeli medtech startup that has developed a proprietary blood-based technology to treat chronic wounds that it says comes with almost “zero risk” of infection, raised $26 million in a Series D financing round and other companies released new medtech.

But Israel is also known for a large number of people who work in what some call “alternative medicine” and others refer to as “Chinese medicine.” myAir falls into this category.

myAir says the Nutrition Coach is a drugless stress resilience coach based on “your mind and body analytics, powered by 4+ million scientific studies.” myAir boasts that the company has harnessed the power of nutrition as a tool for behavioral change and stress resilience. “Discover how and which food can improve your mood, enhance function, and personalize your nutrition plan.”

The company says that with Nutrition Coach, users can transform their habits, stress less. “Use food as your ally. Change is hard, but not impossible. We all crave a stress-free routine, and the secret to achieving it is simple: attach your new habits to the things you already love. Like eating!”

Co-founded in 2019 by CEO Rachel Yarcony and Dovev Goldstein, myAir boasts that it offers the first nutrition bars which it says are scientifically proven to reduce stress. They are based on super plant adaptogen extracts to help people relieve stress naturally.

Adaptogens are used in herbal medications. The idea is that they can aid in the stabilization of physiological processes and the promotion of homeostasis. Bur as is the case with most alternative/herbal medications and medical treatments there have yet to be scientific studies which prove their efficacy.
