Noname Security, an Israeli API security startup and a unicorn, has joined forces with fellow Israeli cybersecurity startup and unicorn Wiz, which offers cloud security solutions. With this new partnership, Noname will use Wiz’s inventory data to provide customers with contextual insights into their APIs. The two companies said that their new joint solution can help clients boost their security posture, accelerate discoveries and remediations, and improve compliance with data privacy mandates and cybersecurity regulations.

Wiz became a super unicorn and the world’s biggest cybersecurity startup when it hit a $10 billion valuation in January. The valuation came with a $300 million raise in a Series D funding round led by Lightspeed Venture Partners and existing investors Greenoaks Capital Partners and Index Ventures. Wiz also became the fastest SaaS company to achieve a $10 billion valuation.

Oz Golan, CEO, and Shay Levi, CTO, launched Noname Security in 2020. The corporation is headquartered in Palo Alto, California, and operates a research and development center in Tel Aviv. Golan was previously the Director of Engineering at NSO and served alongside Levi in the Israeli Defense Forces’ Unit 8200.

Wiz was founded in March 2020 by the team that led Microsoft’s Cloud Security Group and built the security stack in Azure. CEO Assaf Rappaport, CTO Ami Luttwak, VP Product Yinon Costica, and VP R&D Roy Reznik, have worked together for more than 15 years and previously founded Adallom (acquired by Microsoft for $320 million), which is now the #1 Cloud Access Security Broker in the market.

Wiz states that it delivers the first cloud visibility solution for enterprise security, offering a “360° view of security risks across clouds, containers and workloads. No agents. No sidecars.”

Aner Morag. VP of Technology Noname Security, said in a blog post, “Wiz is the fastest-growing software company in the world for good reason. Their cloud-native, agentless platform connects in minutes and scans an organization’s entire cloud environment, helping security professionals identify potential exposure, prioritize risk, and focus on the issues that matter most.”

“With this new partnership,” added Morag, “Noname uses Wiz’s in-depth inventory data to provide customers with contextual insights into their APIs. Our joint solution can help you boost your security posture, accelerate discoveries and remediations, and improve compliance with data privacy mandates and cybersecurity regulations.”
