The Democratic Party may have George Soros to thank for its win in the 2022 mid-term elections. The Democrats actually gained seats in the Senate and lost control of the U.S. House of Representatives by the slimmest of margins in spite of a bad economy and President Joe Biden’s low approval ratings. And George Soros donated millions to ensure that this would happen.
Politico reported that George Soros gave $50 million to the super PAC Democracy PAC. And this was in addition to another $15 million that he had previously donated to support the Democratic Party. No wonder conservatives in America are so hostile toward the man. They accuse him of everything from being a communist to having been a nazi war criminal in Hungary where he was born.
Open Democracy PAC says that it was created to support and elect state lawmakers and election administrators who will work to eliminate registration as a barrier to vote through automatic voter registration (AVR), make voting accessible through well-resourced election administration and eliminate rules disenfranchising voters because of race.

According to the nonprofit watchdog group OpenSecrets, during America’s 2022 mid-term elections George Soros funneled $14 million to Senate Majority PAC, the Democratic Party’s Senate elections super PAC. The money donated included $1 million for the Georgia Senate runoff, in which Sen. Raphael Warnock defeated former pro football player Herschel Walker who was personally picked to run by former President Donald Trump. George Soros also gave $5 million to House Majority PAC, the Democratic Party’s main House elections super PAC.
George Soros is also a supporter of Jewish political groups. Last summer he donated $1 million to J Street, the left-leaning Israel political lobbying group that competes directly with the more established and well known pro-Israel lobby AIPAC.
And George Soros has also donated money to local campaigns, specifically for attorneys general. This is because he thinks that America should change its entire policy on illegal drugs as he is of the opinion that spending society’s money on locking drug addicts in prisons for years is counterproductive. Soros – like many experts on the issues – is in favor of changing the way that society deals with crime in general and allocating resources more towards improving the quality of life and crime prevention, rather than on more prisons.
