Kanye West Is in Trouble over Anti-Semitic remarks

Kanye West, the former Mr. Kim Kardashian, is in a lot of hot water right now over what some are saying were anti-Semitic remarks. The rapper and professional controversy maker has been censored by social media services like Instagram because of his bizarre rantings against people like Jared Kushner and Mark Zuckerberg.

OK, so it really is redundant to describe anything that Kanye West says as a “rant” or “bizarre.” The man seems to be genetically incapable of ever saying anything that can in any way be construed as normal, or coherent. But what did he say this time that got people so annoyed and even led the American Jewish Committee (AJC) to condemn him?

Well, for one thing, Kanye West tweeted that he was ready to go “death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE,” whatever that means. Referring to Jews, he said, “You guys have toyed with me and tried to blackball anyone [who] opposes your agenda.” And West also denied that he could be an anti-Semite saying that he “actually can’t be Anti-Semitic because black people are actually Jews.” As the people say on social media – WTF.

Kanye West also accused Jews of having invented so-called cancel culture. Blaming Jews for his recent problems, West said, “You guys have toyed with me and tried to blackball anyone [who] opposes your agenda.”

The AJC tweeted in response to Kanye West’s comments, “Kanye West’s week has consisted of: Incoherent rants laden with racist and anti-Semitic undertones made on the country’s top cable news program. Anti-Jewish posts shared with his 18 million followers on Instagram.”

Kanye West said that Jared Kushner only helped orchestrate the Abraham Accords – the historic peace deal between Israel and Arab Gulf states – because he wanted to make money. West pointed to Kushner’s billion dollar investment deals that he made with Saudi Arabia while still working at the White House. But on this last point, West is not alone and many people, Jews included, do agree with him.
