Semperis, an Israeli cyber security startup that offers identity-driven cyber resilience tech for enterprises, raised more than $200 million in a Series C round of funding led by KKR.

Israel Startup Nation is big on cyber security. And with all of the ransomware attacks and other big hacks reported on in the news these days it is no wonder that Israeli startups like Semperis are bringing in the money.

Already in May, Israel’s devOcean, the first platform for Cloud Native Security Operations, emerged from Stealth Mode with a $6 Million initial funding round. And Cloud data security company Dig also emerged from stealth with an $11 million round of seed funding led by Team8. Dig says that it offers the first cloud Data Detection and Response (DDR) solution.

Cyber resiliency refers to a system’s ability to fend off hackers and all manner of cyber-attacks. And enterprise identity service is whatever service or program an enterprise uses to protect its systems from hacking. Semperis explains that over 90% of enterprises are coming under sustained cyber-attacks.

With its multi-layered defense approach before, during, and after an attack, Semperis boasts that its service offers comprehensive security technology for hybrid AD and other identity systems, combined with incident response expertise.

Founded in 2015, Semperis promises to ensure the integrity and availability of critical enterprise directory services at every step in the cyber kill chain and cuts recovery time by 90%. Purpose-built for securing hybrid Active Directory environments, Semperis’ patented technology protects over 50 million identities from cyberattacks, data breaches, and operational errors.

“From day one, Semperis has been on a mission to be a force for good,” said Semperis CEO Mickey Bresman, who co-founded Semperis along with Guy Teverovsky and Matan Liberman. “With Semperis’ multi-layered identity protection, organizations can fend off cyber attacks without being forced to choose between two bad options: paying the criminals or getting shut down. With the combined experience that KKR, Ten Eleven Ventures, Insight Partners, and other esteemed investors in this round bring scaling high-growth cybersecurity companies, we have an elite group of strategic partners in our corner to help advance our mission.”
