Aidoc, a provider of artificial intelligence (AI) solutions for medical imaging, and icometrix, an imaging AI solutions for patients with neurological conditions, announced today a partnership to develop an AI-based stroke suite for rapid triage patients with suspected stroke. The suite will notify physicians, allowing for faster communication and expedited access to life-saving care.

The stroke suite includes Aidoc’s FDA-cleared AI solution for identifying and communicating Large-Vessel Occlusion and Intracranial Hemorrhage, as well as icometrix’s FDA-cleared icobrain-cva for analyzing the tissue perfusion state on CT perfusion images in patients with ischemic stroke.

Aidoc’s technologies evaluate medical images immediately after scanning, alerting, and activating physicians throughout the imaging workflow to speed patient treatment and increase care quality.

The suite is completely customizable and may be enhanced with Aidoc’s solution for identifying C-Spine Fractures and icometrix’s MS/TBI AI technologies. Aidoc’s research approach for brain aneurysm notification will probably be included in the following months.

Three years ago, Aidoc introduced the industry’s first solution to detect and notify intracranial hemorrhage.

Since then, Aidoc’s solutions are being used in over 500 medical facilities worldwide and has analyzed over 3 million head CTs.

“As a trusted comprehensive enterprise AI partner, many health institutions request we extend into an increasing number of their radiology and multidisciplinary processes,” said Demetri Giannikopoulos, Aidoc’s vice president of innovation. “We’ve risen to the occasion and, besides our recent PE, C-Spine Fracture, and ICH Care Coordination solutions, we’ve teamed with icometrix to deliver the world’s most robust AI stroke solution fully integrated into each physician’s workflow.”
